Using design thinking for advocacy in everything that we do, communicating across different ways of thinking, and being a part of deepening our collective knowledge and compassion for the place we live, and the people we live with.

Frances is a Registered Architect with a keen interest in learning from First Nations communities. She is partway through a PhD thesis entitled, ‘Loving Waters: honouring and respecting Indigenous water knowledge for recuperation and coexistence with healthy waters in Nyoongar Country.’

She regularly works in community, supporting senior staff with trip logistics, community engagement and design. She recently put her woodworking skills to use, making a series of tiny buildings from recycled pine and jarrah to use in our community planning conversations.

Before TFA, Frances worked at With_ Architecture Studio, where she contributed to large-scale masterplans and more refined, smaller projects. She also spent a season in Switzerland in an architectural internship, has worked at DADAA and taught at university and as a volunteer English teacher.
