1200 km to a new creative space for Martu artists

Our arts centre project hit the road this week, bound for three Martu communities in the Western Desert. The buildings- spaces for art practice, accommodation, and carports- have been designed to withstand the 1,200 km+ journey along (bumpy) remote roads.
Once pieced back together, they’ll provide much-needed space for local artists to gather, paint, yarn and enjoy a contemporary studio that supports arts practice and economic independence.
We can’t wait to see them in action!
